Hi, is there any channel related to OpenTelemetry? I plan to instrument AWS Lambda with that library and I wonder what are the best practices regarding exporter configuration. Is it better to send traces directly from Lambda to Vendor (e.g. New Relic) or to my OpenTelemetry Collector (for K8s deployments) first and let it forward it to the vendor.

Hello team, Nice to meet you all here Do you have any idea where I can find quintessence of devops practices? Back in 2016 it was google sre book, however many things have changes since then… Also I would be very grateful for any resources with case studies, e.g. how different companies implemented their CICD, their choice on tools etc
this of course isn’t comprehensive (and its also potentially a bit dated at this point) but i really enjoyed the “Accelerate” book by Nicole Forsgren. Published in 2018 i think.
it does not include a lot on specific tooling, but it does break down 11 practices that unlock successful, continuous delivery for enterprises and startups alike. might be oversimplified but its definitely on the right track. also has many case studies.
