Senior Devops Engineer at Thrive Global - https://hire.withgoogle.com/public/jobs/thriveglobalcom/view/P_AAAAAADAAFMP3YjeaViY4v

This is my current project, so I’m helping them fill my replacement. They want a full time employee based out of their NYC or SF office. Good WFH flexibility, but with an in-office expectation. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Media and psychology startup focused on culture change that’s trying to figure out how to turn into a tech company with all that entails. All AWS - lambda for the new backend environment, ECS fargate running the media side of things (an custom frontend on top of a Wordpress VIP (Automattic) backend. no hands on WP management involved). Effort is going to be involved in transitioning them from NoOps. You’ll report to the backend eng team manager. Existing CI/CD with CircleCI. Figure on building everything from scratch.

this was just a project - short term, come in, identify gaps, help them move from NoOps to SomeOps

they offered FTE, but I have no interest in being an FTE ever again. internal politics take over from there about why they dont want contractors. I’d happily turn this into a larger scope contract to build what they need.

Hey everyone! Any entry level K8’s roles out there? I’m fixing to take my CKA next week and have really proficient AWS and Linux skills (I plan to take the RHCSA next). That said, I’m a self taught technologist in the field and I’m looking for my first “official” technical role. I’m going to post my resume, and I’d love to get some conversations going and maybe just get to know some people before I snag that CKA.
