3Play Media seeks strong, enthusiastic DevOps / Platform Engineer. Double bonus points for facility with the Cloud Posse approach, tools, and stack!

@Jonathan Eunice is it US only?
Please complete the application to apply to join the 3Play Media team!
@Miguel Zenteno we have offices in the US (Boston, MA and Minneapolis, MN) and Canada (Calgary, AB), so likely limited to US and Canada. But will confirm.
Other questions asked:
- office/hybrid/remote? Answer: remote. We might ask for occasional visits for events, but that’s a few times/year max.
- on-call? Not as such. Everyone pitches in for emergencies and the occasional downtime maintenance, as would our new DevOps/Platform Engineer, but we work primarily on a continuum of US/Eastern through US/Pacific business hours. Watching for support escalations and problems (“Zenmaster”) rotates through ~6 different teams. There is no on-call rotation per se.
@Jonathan Eunice If you can confirm if out of US/Canada applications are welcome, I would appreciate it. I have a good amount of knowledge managing the Cloud Posse Stack (Geodesic, Atmos Terraform, Helmfile, etc) and I’m EST based , but I’m outside NA (US/Canada),
@Jonathan Eunice since I know of people around me (Israel) that are looking, is there visa sponsorship/relocation (country) programs? (not personally interested, at least not at this time)
@Moshe Abramovitch Sadly no visa sponsorship or relocation programs available. Unfortunately. There appear to be a lot of talented, enthusiastic DevOps/Platform Engineers operating outside the US, but our hiring has been North America-centric.
Yeah, it’s an issue. Even if someone is willing to shoulder the relocation cost (employee) they have no control over work permit visa…

[For hire] Hi there !
I’m looking for a part-time/full-time/contract position as a cloud/infra engineer. I’m coming from a heavily systems background with a major focus on OS and networking, totaling 5 yoe from helpdesk/sysadmin roles + 5 yoe from cloud/devops types of positions. In the past I’ve been exposed to a wide variety of challenges from troubleshooting faulty connections being a helpdesk support to drafting and getting cloud native solutions up-and-running as an architect. I know how to run a service reliably and efficiently and take pride in doing so.
My tech stack: Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, Python, bash and everything around. Frankly I’m quite technology agnostic and think that there is a tool for a job. I’m also CKA and AWS Architect Professional certified.
What can I do ?
- Design and implement(supervise) a cloud infra for SMB companies
- Run and support web applications on k8s/cloud platforms
- Ensure that aforementioned things run securely and cost-efficiently
Some examples:
-
A pre-seed round startup Helped them straighten up their CI/CD flows, unclutter the AWS infra, set up essential monitoring alerts and backups. Technologies: AWS, Terraform, Docker Swarm, GitlabCI, etc.
-
An e-commerce company Designed and implemented a major overhaul for the cloud infra since the company was due to expand to new markets. Developers experience was improved with preview environments, several self-service features, a single pane of glass for monitoring/logging and no burden of managing secrets. Technologies: AWS, Terraform, K8S, SSO, etc.
Location and working hours: I’m based in Canada, can work both with east and west coasts. I’m not considering relocation or hybrid/office positions.
Feel free to send me a DM if you have any questions or would like to discuss it further. Thank you for your attention and have a nice day!

[Hiring] [Global] [Remote] We provide DevOps solutions for a variety of customers with open roles across a few of them. These clients are largely unsophisticated and their infrastructure is not scaling smoothly.
The work will focus on diving into the client systems to become the “expert” so that we can share and implement best practices. The ability to dive in and learn quickly is the most important characteristic we’re looking for.
The application layer is made up of java running on tomcat which is deployed on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). The stack is a mixture of Kubernetes and some older VM based deployments. The role will be a mix of that (sprint based) and acting as escalation for issues relating to the platform “as we do the re-platform”. The shop still runs while we transform it! The idea being we get exposure to real problems so that we can better design the correct solution.
We don’t expect anyone to be an expert in any of those technologies, but a deep DevOps/SRE background and a willingness to learn is critical.
We’re currently looking for folks who are passionate about the work, learning and elevating themselves. We are looking for folks to work in APAC, EMEA and US timezones.
Please send your CV to [email protected] – please include your compensation expectations, your location and preferred working timezone.

Hey all,
We are hiring for a number of engineering positions. But most closest to my heart we are looking for a Sr SRE. Feel free to hit me up with any questions or apply through the site. Thanks!
Assured Jobs
Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance. Claims processing (i.e. should we pay this claim?), while often overlooked, is the foundation of the entire industry. It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct—costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.
At Assured, we provide large insurers with the software solutions they need to win in a modern, technology-driven world. From self-service claim filing software to backend fraud detection, we’re the engine that powers claims processing for some of the largest insurers in the world.
The challenges we face are deep and diverse—from creating digital experiences that provide comfort and clarity to claimants at their most stressed and vulnerable to orchestrating large-scale ML-driven decision-making on billions of dollars of claims payments, life at Assured is dynamic, collaborative, and rewarding.
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have worked in a start-up environment and wants to help us build efficient, reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and code. You will bring your expertise and understanding in deploying and automating the delivery of modern SaaS platforms at scale.
You will…
Provision infrastructure and tooling required to deliver the Assured platform, from scaling existing products to launching novel infrastructure to support entirely new products and initiatives
Create automated tooling to configure and maintain our platform and services with an eye for consistency and repeatability
Build sustainable methods for monitoring, managing, and scaling our platforms and services
Collaborate with our security team to assess, suggest, and execute strategies ensuring compliance with security regulations and industry best-practices
Foster the ongoing development and adoption of observability best practices within the platform
Respond to and help mitigate any incidents that may arise, employing a swift and effective incident response strategy to maintain the stability and availability of the platform
Work to reduce toil and embrace simplicity
Lead, mentor, and learn from other engineers on our growing team
We should talk if…
You have what it takes and the experience to get the job done
You can autonomously build and scale high-quality products and environments from early stages to maturity
You are inclined to automate, but you can discern when automation isn’t the best solution and present alternatives
You take the initiative to identify and solve important problems, coordinating with others on cross-cutting technical issues
You make others better through code reviews, thorough documentation, technical guidance, and mentoring
You are persistent in the face of roadblocks, dispatching them efficiently, pulling in others as necessary
You are self-motivated, requiring minimal direction/oversight
You have a passion for observability and SLOs
Not required: Specific technology or programming language background. We are relatively technology-background agnostic. We believe great engineers are great engineers, and that the technologies we use will continue to evolve with the team and challenges we face. In Assured’s codebase today, you’ll find: Node.js (Typescript), Python, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Terraform and we work with AWS, Docker, and Linux servers.
In your first month at Assured, you may…
Evolve a best-in-class infrastructure-as-code approach to deploying and managing services at Assured
Develop and foster observability and alerting best practices across multiple applications, including selecting technical approaches, developing SLOs, developing buy-in across the engineering organization, and training teams in implementing new practices
Collaborate with our security team to enact changes that establish a cohesive environment in line with industry-recognized security guidelines
Help maintain the stability of the platform by responding to incidents using an established incident response protocol, as well as partaking in or leading incident retrospectives
Work to improve, streamline and scale our CI/CD pipelines
Benefits:
Competitive salary and equity packages
Health Care Plan (Platinum Medical, Dental, & Vision)
Life Insurance (No cost to you)
Paid Time Off (Uncapped vacation days & paid holidays)
Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
401(k) contribution (Assured contributes 3% of your income even if you don’t contribute)
Commuter Benefits (Tax-advantaged commuter benefits account)
Health and Dependent Care FSAs (Pre-tax flexible spending accounts for out-of-pocket expenses)
We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, perform essential job functions, and receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request an accommodation.
