A study found corporate recruiters have a bias against ex-entrepreneurs. They get stereotyped as not wanting to ‘be a small piece of the puzzle.'attachment image

In what’s referred to as the “entrepreneurship penalty,” former founders are much less likely to get a job interview.

Well now I’m just going to lie on my resume and say I was an employee not a founder.

There is a linkedin learning course on how to manage Gen-Z. It’s a little cheesy but one thing this article reminds me of is the tendency for Gen-Z to have side hustles: https://linkedin.com/learning/managing-generation-z/gen-z-and-the-side-hustle?resume=false

Gen Z and the side hustle - Managing Generation Z Video Tutorial | LinkedIn Learning, formerly Lynda.com

Realize why Gen Zers have side hustles. Plus, see why you might want to rethink when and how work gets done if you want to attract this next generation of workers.

Quite possibly true, but if they’re applying for a job maybe they want to apply their initiative to a structured environment

Hah, well, she’s a much more “grounded” person than I am and has plans locally that a move to Japan would probably upset. Ironically, we named our daughter “Kitsune” because she felt her kick for the first time in Japan, but I’m not sure that’s enough to entice her to move there.

Hi Jake, Happy to have a casual chat and provide any more information that might help make a case for you with your wife if that helps!
