folks in GCP are they using Cloud logging/ trace for apps with opentelemetry or you still prefer 3rd party tools to aggregate and provide the UX/ UI ?

no need 3rd party tool. gcp logging monitoring tools are the best

I am utilizing Datadog. GCP query language is somewhat painful but the main reason is that integrating metrics across projects into a “unified metric project dump” is incredibly taxing for the end-user. I think GCP has a long way to go to make it more accessible to operations.
